AIMT Campus Placement Policy

  1. Registration & General Guidelines
  • All interested students must register with the Placement Department to participate in campus placement activities.
  • One Student, One Offer is the core policy. Exceptions include:
    • CSE/IT students already placed may appear for product-based companies offering a higher package and recognized as ‘Dream Status Companies.’
    • Once placed in a product/core company, no further participation in other companies is allowed.
    • Students from core branches placed in software companies may attend core company interviews.
    • Multiple offers may occur only if results are not disclosed on time by companies.
  • Students are strictly prohibited from contacting company officials directly. All queries must be routed through the Placement Department.
  • Placement policies are subject to update as required.
  1. Eligibility & Registration
  • Final-year full-time students (B.Tech, MBA, Diploma) are eligible for placement, except those with academic arrears or outstanding financial dues, or those who have opted out.
  • Eligible students must register and provide written consent to the T&P Department.
  1. Resume Submission & Verification
  • Eligible students must submit a soft copy of their CV and a photograph to the T&P Department.
  • Students must ensure all information in their CV is truthful. Any discrepancies will lead to disqualification and possible disciplinary action.
  1. Application Rules
  • All job applications must go through the T&P Department.
  • Each student may apply to up to 5 companies during the placement process; a warning is issued upon the 4th application.
  • Additional applications are allowed only with written permission from the Faculty Placement Coordinator and HOD, with a maximum of 2 extra applications.
  1. Withdrawal Policy
  • Applications can be withdrawn before the company’s deadline only; withdrawals after this date are not permitted.
  • Each withdrawal before the deadline increases the student’s application quota by one.
  • Students may reapply to withdrawn companies if within their application quota and company deadline.
  1. Placement Process
  • Companies receive invitations and Placement Information Forms (PIF) with college and candidate details.
  • Companies submit recruitment details; placement slots are scheduled mutually.
  • The college arranges travel, accommodation, and logistical support for recruiters. Pre-placement talks and recruitment activities are organized as per the recruiter’s requirements.
  1. Offer Acceptance Policy
  • A student is allowed to secure only one placement if the offered package is above specified thresholds (B.Tech/MBA: ₹2 lakh per annum, Diploma: ₹1.2 lakh per annum).
  • In case of multiple offers on the same day, student preferences (to be submitted in advance) will determine the final placement.
  • The “Dream Company” provision allows an additional opportunity, subject to specific conditions.
  • All final offers must be accepted or declined through the T&P Department within 24 hours; lack of acceptance will end the student’s placement participation.
  1. Student Conduct
  • Minimum 75% attendance in classes and placement preparation (PDP, aptitude, technical training) is mandatory for eligibility.
  • Attendance for all scheduled selection processes is compulsory; repeated absences result in warnings, fines, and eventual debarment.
  • Impersonation or malpractice leads to immediate debarment and further disciplinary action.
  • Students must not apply or interview with companies off-campus individually.
  1. Placement Facilitation Fee
  • Placement facilitation fees are non-refundable except for specific merit or organizational failures as described in the policy.
  1. Hospitality & Logistics
  • The T&P Department ensures cordial reception, travel, and stay arrangements for visiting recruiters, with timely coordination and transparent billing processes.
  1. Student Responsibilities
  • Dress code (formal) is mandatory during interviews.
  • All dues must be cleared before participation.
  • Up-to-date contact information must be provided to T&P.
  • Hall tickets and I-cards are compulsory at interviews.
  • Students must prepare thoroughly for company profiles and roles and adhere to timelines for all placement processes.
  1. Student Placement Committee
  • The Student Placement Committee acts as a bridge among the T&P Department, academic branches, and students, actively supporting placement activities and communications.
  • Members are expected to demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and team spirit at all times.
